Our 6-Step Cleaning Process

The same proven process on every job — from a West Ashley ranch to a downtown historic home. Only the method and pressure change.

At Lowcountry Pressure Washing, we don’t cut corners and we don’t skip steps. Every residential and commercial job we take follows the same six-step process. What changes is the method we use on each surface — soft wash for delicate materials, full pressure for concrete and pavers — but the workflow stays consistent because consistency is what produces reliable results.

1

quote — Phone, Photos, or Walk

Before we give you a number, we ask about surface type, when it was last cleaned, and whether there are any HOA or historic-district requirements. You can request a quote by phone, by sending us photos, or by scheduling a quick on-site walk. We provide a firm, written quote — not a range that changes once we arrive.

2

Surface Assessment on Arrival

When we arrive, we walk the property and identify exactly what’s growing — Gloeocapsa magma on roof shingles, green mildew on siding, Spartina pollen residue on flatwork, or salt film on coastal properties. This tells us which cleaning solution and which pressure level to use on each surface, rather than guessing or running one method on everything.

3

Property Protection

Before any cleaning solution is applied, we pre-rinse and cover landscaping and garden beds adjacent to work areas. Exterior outlets, light fixtures, and any exposed electrical components are protected. Windows and doors are checked for gaps or failed seals that could allow water intrusion. If we find a problem, we flag it before proceeding — not after.

4

Application and Dwell Time

For soft-wash surfaces (siding, roofs, stucco, painted wood), we apply a properly diluted, biodegradable cleaning solution at low pressure and allow it to dwell for the correct duration. This kills algae, mold, and mildew spores at the root rather than just blasting visible growth off the surface — which is why soft-washed surfaces stay cleaner 3–4 times longer than surfaces cleaned with pressure alone.

5

Correct-Pressure Rinse

Every surface is rinsed at the pressure level appropriate to its material — full PSI on concrete and pavers, low pressure on siding and shingles. We work top to bottom so that runoff carries dissolved organic growth away from already-cleaned areas rather than re-depositing it. Surface cleaner attachments are used on all flatwork to eliminate streaking.

6

Final Walk-Through

Before we consider any job complete, we walk the entire property with you — or send detailed before-and-after photos if you’re not home. If any area doesn’t meet your expectations, we re-treat it on the spot at no additional cost. We don’t leave until you’re satisfied or until you’ve confirmed via phone or text that the photos look right.
